The mission of Drs. Rita and Gaurav Yadava is to provide personalized, high-quality care for children with neurological problems and their families.

We are a pediatric neurology specialty private practice with dedicated, experienced physicians who believe in working with our patients to maintain and improve their health. We work together to serve your entire family for the best outcome for children with neurological problems. Our physicians believe in providing comprehensive health care services to our patients in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We also believe in educating our patients as we work with them to achieve the best physical and emotional states possible.

Each physician is certified in Pediatric Neurology and brings to our practice years of experience in their area of specialty.  Our board-certified nurse practitioners always consult with the attending physician prior to working with each patient in order to provide informed, consistent care at all times.

Our friendly staff is available by phone for scheduling appointments for both New and Established patients, taking messages for the doctors or nursing staff, and answering billing questions.

Most importantly, reassure your child that there are NO needles during the office visit. Nothing hurts!  In fact, most children actually enjoy the examination, which is done in a relaxed (often playful) style.

As in any medical visit, first we gather information to establish a history.  We discuss your child's development and how each and every problem unfolded through the years.  We want to know how the child and his/her family got to their current state.

Part of the information gathering, we review any previous evaluations or tests that have been done.

We inquire into a whole range of frequently co-concurring conditions, such as: ADD, ADHD, organization, autism spectrum disorders, tics, anxiety, learning disabilities and more.

We screen for developmental and/or academic skills issues including speech, maturity, growth, school performance struggles and organizational abilities.

During the formal neurological examination, we ask the child to perform a series of simple maneuvers, such as: coordination, strength, sensory, reflex and walking tests.  In essence, these procedures allow us to take a "tour" around the patient's brain, checking out the function of different brain parts.

Now we like to talk with the parent(s) and/or child.  Time is given for the parent to have a private discussion with the doctor without the child present.  We go over each diagnosis to explain the etiology of each issue. We can then use these diagnoses to plan remedies for the problem(s). We also discuss further testing, should it be needed for a more accurate diagnosis.

Lastly, making consistent follow up appointments, providing the doctor with updates as needed and following the recommended treatment plan(s) we continue to work together to carry out and adjust our treatments for your child's optimal outcome.
